Case study

Area of thermal conduction

Thermal conduction-wise, the efficiency of thermal conduction tends to be proportional to the area of contact. The use of the feature of metal additive manufacturing enables making structure design with high heat dissipation, maximum thermal conducting areas as well as compact volume.

■ Heat conducting coils are designed with special cross-sections to ensure of maximum area of contact. Highly thermal conductive Cu alloy in additive manufacturing is used to satisfy the design need.

■ Double-wall tubing in the application in cooling. This design allows the decrease of the disposition and space of cooling pipes by far, while allowing the achievement by additive manufacturing.
